Travels to India
This is the dress I brought back from India for my daughter. She’s not wearing the leggings that came with it but very cute nonetheless. And it’s not technically called a dress. I just forgot the proper Indian name.

Heritage India

Yes, folks, there is a new Indian restaurant in Edmond and I’m here to give it wonderful reviews! It’s called Heritage India and it is right next door to Pho Bulous which is also wonderful. But back to Heritage, I went earlier this week and ordered Chicken Mollee. I looked for Fish Mollee but it wasn’t on the menu so I thought I’d try the chicken. They asked if I wanted mild, medium or spicy and I thought since I’d been to India and experienced homemade Indian cooking firsthand that ordering spicy was no big deal. Whoooo boy! It about burned a whole in my mouth but it was fabulous. The nan bread was excellent and fresh and so was the rice. I asked about dosas and they said they were flying in a chef to teach them how to make it this week. Looking forward to ordering a dosa again. For dessert we ordered a mango smoothie and galub jalum which are like deep fried doughnuts in a light sugar syrup - yum! I was highly impressed and I recommend everyone go try it out! It’s now a new favorite with me. Only one negative thing. They were playing Indian and Bollywood movies on tv with captions which were inappropriate for my 8 year old who was reading them. Just a heads up. Food is fantastic though!

Houseboats!! Love the style! Thank you Grace for the houseboat gift.

More tropical trees.

Different types of tropical trees. Dried jack fruit is really yummy!

A very happy village fisherman!

School children all in their uniforms. The boys were really showing off for us. However, the girls were embarrassed and covering their faces.

The only two restaurants I saw from America. Not even a McDonalds.

More photos in Trivandrum - the Cricket Stadium and a Ganesha temple.
